Quick Biz MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES GERMANY Berliner Kurier: Hamburger Morgenpost, Morgenpost Sachsen (circ. 500,000 total; www.berlinonline.de) – Journalist Stefan Henseke will visit Las Vegas Sept. 22-25 with a guest for a general destination feature. Mr. Henseke is requesting hotel accommodations, an evening show and a day trip to the Grand Canyon (which has already been confirmed). The Berliner Kurier publications are daily newspapers of the Berlin, Hamburg and Sachsen areas that target a broad audience from all age groups and financial backgrounds. Oktagon TV (500,000 viewers; www.reiseclip.tv) – Jurgen Fritsch and a crew of 2-3 will visit Las Vegas in September or October (dates are flexible) to film a destination piece about Las Vegas. The crew is requesting hotel accommodations and permission to film at suggested locations. The 2-5 minute feature on Las Vegas will air on SWR, a well known public TV channel in the southwestern part of Germany that targets an over 50 demographic. The clip will also appear on reiseclip.tv, the first German travel channel on the internet. Radio RTL 89.0 (110,000 listeners per hour; www.89.0rtl.de) – Program director Tim Grunert and two guests will visit Las Vegas in mid-November for an on-air promotion and radio stunt involving one of their morning show presenters, DJ Chris Rock. DJ Rock will participate in a contest to find true love as he dates women through his morning show. The winner will fly to Vegas for three nights, where she and DJ Rock will ultimately wed. The radio program is requesting three hotel rooms for three nights, a supporting wedding chapel and romantic amenities for the marrying couple. The promotion will begin Nov. 8 and last for 2-3 weeks. Radio RTL 89.0 is a radio station in the northeastern part of Germany that targets listeners between the ages of 18 and 39.
